Van Cleef & Arpels came into being at Place Vendôme in 1906, following the wedding of Esther known as “Estelle” Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef. A true symbol of destiny, the first creation to be recorded in the sales records was a heart set with diamonds. This fundamental theme has infused the Maison’s creations with delightful charm ever since.
