Turning every moment into an enchanting story
To make every moment a story of enchantment, Van Cleef & Arpels imagines specific mechanisms and unique complications, designed and assembled in-house for several years. Movement experts, watchmakers, and artisans work hand in hand in the Maison's Watchmaking Workshops in Geneva, ensuring that technical mastery always goes hand in hand with creativity and the quest for wonder.
An unprecedented movement
Inspired by a floral clock design dating back to 1751, the Lady Arpels Heures Florales watch features twelve corollas that open and close to indicate the time. This movement, developed at the Van Cleef & Arpels Watchmaking Workshops in Geneva, transforms the passage of time into a poetic spectacle.

The automaton movement
Nestled within the Lady Arpels Bal des Amoureux Automate watch is a new movement developed in the Van Cleef & Arpels Watchmaking Workshops. The result of four years of research and development, it allows the figures to approach and lean toward each other, while continuing to hold hands. The mechanism, designed in extremely small dimensions, is cleverly concealed beneath the dial's décor.
